The iPhone 4S sold really well when it was launched a few months ago but despite the successful sales, Apple felt that it could do a lot better. While Apple consumers are tapping away at the 4S, an even better smartphone is in the works that promises far better functionality and revolutionary hardware that will blow other mobile phones out of the water in the iPhone 5.
It is rare to talk about an upcoming product has not even been confirmed for a release nor been officially mentioned by the manufacturing company. The fifth generation has been one of the most talked about topics since early last year and as every month passed the rumors have only gotten stronger.
A lot of bloggers have been making bold predictions of what the product can do and there are others who even went as far as pointing possible release dates. The upcoming iPhone has not even been publicly announced and Apple fans are already talking endless nonsense. But come to think of it, such spilled theories are interesting enough to read.
Recent speculation from several tech sources say the iPhone will have some sort of a waterproofing technology. This would be a big step for Apple if the idea does come to fruition. Dubbed as the “HzO” technology developed by the company of the same name, the feature will completely make the smartphone totally water proof. The company has been in talks with Apple and if the new iPhone does have added capability, it would surely push the Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy s3 off the cliff.
A lot of smartphones these days are vulnerable to constant drops and scratches not to mention spillage. If Apple does plan on adopting the waterproofing technology, it will make the fifth generation iPhone a complete standout this year. The HzO is applied in the form of a protective film that coats the entire outer cover and the insides of the phone. The film repels water molecules easily without damaging the outer and internal parts of the phone.
